Since 1995, SNV in Mozambique has been developing a diverse portfolio of programmes, partnerships, framework approaches, and expertise. We currently work in agri-food, water, and energy sectors, collaborating closely with the government, local development partners, private sector, knowledge institutes, and low-income communities to transform ideas into results.
Besides helping achieve household-level impact, we contribute to systems change to ensure the long-term sustainability of interventions. We help develop livelihoods and improve the wellbeing of Mozambicans by fostering inclusive development and systemic change, supporting locally owned approaches, strengthening governance systems, and improving markets for people living in poverty.
In line with the country's national development priorities and strategies, along with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, and local social and economic plan, we are proud to play an important role in improving access to energy in areas without electricity through solar home systems, improved cooking solutions, and basic sanitation for people living in disadvantaged conditions.
