Resilient landscapes (Asia)
SNV's portfolio of projects in Asia that applies an integrated landscape approach to balance competing land-use objectives and promote synergy-building across sectors.
Abstract
Across Asia, growing populations, shifting consumption patterns, intensified land use, and shrinking natural areas are placing increasing pressure on natural resources. Climate change adds further strain to already vulnerable ecosystems. Because landscapes are interconnected, action in one sector can have unintended effects elsewhere. Responding effectively requires landscape-level planning and inclusive, sustainable natural resource management that reflects ecological, economic, and social realities.
