From our base in Phnom Penh, we have worked to support the growth and development of Cambodia and its people since 2005. In lowering barriers to social development and promoting local ownership, we are a trusted advisor and on-the-ground implementer. Using market-based approaches, we emphasise environmental sustainability and inclusive development, especially for women and marginalised communities.

Our work in Cambodia spans the water, energy and agri-food sectors – and we’re particularly proud of the work we’ve done to ensure our work is aligned with the country’s national development priorities and strategies. We collaborate closely with the royal government, civil society and private sector.

In energy, we have paved the way to cleaner cooking in 200 villages through education, market intervention, and behaviour change communications. Since 2010, we have been directly involved in the Cambodian government’s commitment to the decentralisation of WASH services. Elsewhere, we empower farmers in agri-food to start and grow successful micro-businesses by connecting them with buyers and input providers and ensuring good awareness and training on new technologies. We also support entrepreneurs as they scale their businesses with catalytic impact-driven finance.

Our solutions are tailored to enact impactful systems change by raising incomes, providing meaningful employment opportunities, and improving access to and coverage of basic services.

Cambodia’s young population, with a median age of 26.5 years, has experienced impressive growth and reduction in poverty in the last decade. We’re proud to be playing a part in supporting that journey.
